Ashleigh Morris is a Scottish rally driver and one of the few women competing at the top levels of UK motorsport. Her determination and competitive spirit are matched by a growing profile in the sport, making her an ideal subject for a bold and modern motorsport brand identity. I was commissioned to design a full suite of branding for Ashleigh — from her logo to her partnership brochure and the livery for her rally car.
This project marked my first foray into motorsport design, laying the foundation for future automotive work and fuelling a lifelong passion for the discipline.
The creative direction took inspiration from classic and modern racing aesthetics — particularly the iconic visuals of Ford Motorsport, BMW M Sport, and Mercedes AMG. The goal was to strike a balance between performance-led design and professional presentation for sponsors and media.
Key contributions:
Logo design — Developed a strong, modern monogram-style identity suitable for use on vehicles, racewear, promotional material, and digital platforms.
Vehicle livery design — Created a striking rally car wrap design that stood out on the stages while maintaining sponsor visibility and brand coherence.
Sponsorship brochure — Designed a sleek, informative print-ready brochure for potential partners and sponsors, featuring driver stats, event history, media reach, and brand values.
Brand system — Delivered a full brand toolkit including colour specs, type guidelines, and layered artwork files for scalable use across print and web.
This was a high-impact branding project that needed to work across multiple surfaces and high-speed environments, from car liveries and paddock signage to Instagram feeds and PDF pitch decks. The result was a cohesive and dynamic identity that helped elevate Ashleigh’s profile and supported her in securing ongoing sponsorship deals.
